    The Digital Optical Module (DOM) is an autonomous data collection unit. It measures the arrival time of every photon to an accuracy of better than 5 nanoseconds. It has a power consumption of 3 Watts and a dynamic range of 25000 photoelectrons over 6.4 microseconds.
