Sealing DOM

    DOM spheres are first flushed with inert nitrogen gas. DOMs are then placed inside a vacuum chamber and partially evacuated. 'Monkey dung' is used to ensure the seal between the hemispheres is long lasting. Black tape is then wrapped around the seal.
